Historic Cody and The Cody Stampede Rodeo

Here it is the 29th of July and it is Friday!
We walked all over downtown in the morning in
the historic district~ It looked funny to see so much leather
in the shops as well as spurs!

This is what it looks like in the morning
 from where we camped!
This is to the north of us!
This is where we camped. We had three days of dry camping
in the Walmart Superstore parking lot. That was the only
issue we had here~the campgrounds here
could not accommodate our length!
Let me tell you we had a better view
than in a campground~so it was awesome!

The Original Courthouse in Cody!
The wood and architecture of the
building was just awesome!
They have a pretty big Sheriff office here and this
was the Search and Rescue Area!
This is the local Harley Dealer~
Captured part of Downtown!

Off to the Rodeo we went! It started at 8:00 p.m.
so we got there about 7:30 p.m.

Well, how do we look in our shorts and cowboy hats?
For Ten Bucks you could set on the Bull
for a picture! So I just took a picture of
someone else on the bull! LOL
Walking to the Buzzards Roost I shot this pic!
There are the Bulls~W~O~W~
The M C Buffalo Bill !
The National Anthem and a Prayer before it began~
OUCH!
This is the only one that stayed on the bucking broncs
for any length of time...

Calf Roping!
Another Buckin Bronc~
Bull Riding
Off he went!
These were 15 and under. There were some
as young as Six years old!

The clowns had the so to speak
half time show! It was too funny!
Barrel Racing!
More Barrel Racing!
The older ones bull riding!
They put three calves with flags on their tails
loose in the ring and let all the kids 12 and under
come down and chase the calves and capture the flags.
The ones that did got prizes. It was too funny to see!
The poor calves just kept running! lol
Cowboy Dave at his first rodeo having a good time!
