Back Home in the Adirondack Mts. of N.Y.

On June 30th we headed out for our time in the Adirondack's with
our friend Ed Winchell. I went ahead in the car to find it then called
 Dave when I got there!
Ed and I waited up by the road for him! :-)
Wow, what a driveway that Dave went in to
He slid down the first part of rocks then it was
awesome once he got down there!
This is a great pic on our route to Speculator!

This is back home for Sharon!

This is where we camped out at Ed's Home!

This is the driveway! A challenge for a
38 ft. diesel pusher

This was our front yard at Ed's Home
Parked in his circular driveway~Thanks Ed we had a great stay!
Who could ask for a better view~
Ed and Dave after we got set up!
~We went on a reminiscing

trip through Speculator~
Thanks Ed for taking us around!

~This is the home Sharon grew up in~
Our Dad, Grandpa Richens and Brother Billy
built this home a long time ago. It amazed me how
little had been changed inside!

This is a bunk house that my grandpa use to live in!
It had a door and porch on the front then~

This is a picture from days gone by of
Grandpa Richens sitting on the porch of his
bunkhouse~
This is where we skied growing up!
When we could walk, mom put us on skis~
~Great memories from Speculator~

This is the school that I went to elementary school at
and now it is a church, as they built a nice new
and bigger one right up the road from it!

Our Brother Billy is buried in Speculator ~
He went home to be with the Lord
 when he was 19.

Stopped by the see Bucky and Sandy
and they were busy building a float
for the Independence Day Parade on Saturday !
Sandy, Shirley, Ed and Dave
It is always good to come home and
see the folks that you knew since
childhood!
We've landed for four full days here in the
mountains and we have had the most beautiful
weather since we have been up here!

Ed's son Roy put this on the tree in his yard!
Just thought it was unique~
Our coach resting in Lake Pleasant! :-)

The Awesome IMT team at the court house in Tampa, FL
gave me the flamingo so I wanted to show all
of you that it came on our travels with us!
We had a fire in the evening as the mosquitoes
were pretty bad and it was cool as well!
Awesome memories made!

This is the Sheriff's office on the right and the Jail on the left!
They had one person in jail while we were there! :-)
Can you imagine caring for one inmate?

We had the privilege of seeing Ed's daughter
Susan and her son Liam stayed with
grandpa while we were there!
Great to see you Susan and spend time with
your son, Liam and Your Dad!
Thanks for sharing them with us!
We had most of our meals together while there
The guys enjoyed the home cooking!
Panoramic View of Oxbow Lake

We all helped Dave get his boat to
the Lake so he could go fishing!

Glenn, Sharon and Dave
It certainly was good to see all of you again!
We all go back a long ways...

A tree fell across Ed's son, Roy's property across the street!
So we helped clear it so we could ride to the top
with our golf cart! Ed didn't think it would make it.
Go EZ-Go, She made it!

Dave says, every job needs a supervisor!

Liam is hanging back like Grandpa asked him
to do while he used the chain saw!

This is a view from near the top!
A little steep but we all made it!

Alongside of Ed's driveway there were all kinds
od wild strawberrie!
They were small but tasty!
 Thank God for Nature!

Ed we are so glad to have been able to spend time with you and your family and share many memories, meals and good times! Thank you for the memories of our mom and daddy that you shared as well. They both touched a lot of lives while they were on this earth. Also it was great to see The Good family and spend some time with you as well.
